The National Building & Construction Awards is pleased to announce BITA (Business International Trading Alliance) as a Gold Sponsor for this year’s awards, proudly supporting the Contractor of the Year (contract value up to £5m) category.

BITA is a dynamic non-profit networking group connecting businesses across the UK, Ireland, and globally. Through its programme of events, partnerships, and buyer-supplier matchmaking, BITA has built a reputation for helping its member businesses grow, creating pipelines and opportunities for SMEs to work alongside the supporters and patrons who often head large multi-national organisations within its network.

As part of their involvement in this year’s awards, BITA will also be represented on the judging panel by nine members drawn from across their network:

– Paul Whitnell, President of BITA

– James Horton, Consultant at CMS

– Jim Finnegan, CEO of Pocketbox

– Ignatius Rautenbach, Strategist at Futuriat in AI

– James Mitson, Managing Director of Ultimo Safety

– Kate Tobin, Business Development Manager at K&T Electromech Services

– Callum Byfield, Founder & CEO of The Social Construct

– Colin Gleeson, Senior Director of CSS Recruitment & Training

– Nick Inge, Chief Executive Officer of iTrust

Between them, the panel brings together decades of leadership experience spanning construction, safety, recruitment, technology, business development, and strategic consultancy. That breadth of expertise across so many corners of the industry gives the panel a well-rounded perspective on what sets an outstanding contractor apart, and they bring valuable insight and industry knowledge to the judging process.

The awards team would like to thank BITA for their support and looks forward to working with Paul, James, Jim, Ignatius, James, Kate, Callum, Colin, and Nick as part of this year’s judging panel.
